Description: A biopic from Spain (also going by the title Jokes & Cigarettes) about Eugenio Jofra (played by David Verdaguer), who was a jeweler in the late 60s until a fateful meeting with aspiring singer Conchita (Carolina Yuste) on a bus. The two fall in love and Eugenio learns to play the guitar and overcomes intense stage fright to perform with her as the duo Els Dos. After his wife and partner’s tragic death from breast cancer in 1980, Eugenio reinvents himself as a humorist and eventually becomes well known for his look – black clothes, glasses, cigarette, stool – and unique, comedic delivery. At one point, the couple shares a romantic moment outside, with Carolina’ left funbag front and center before a breast exam leads to its removal and we see the prosthetic scar next to her beautiful remaining right boob.
