Description: A mother’s smothering love for her son is told in tandem with the story of a family trying to flee North career just after the death of Kim Jong-il in this Spanish/Argentinian drama from writer/director Eduardo Casanova. The ironically named Libertad (Ángela Molina) rules over her household and fully grown adult son Mateo (Manel Llunell) in a similar dictatorial fashion, regulating his schedule, his diet, and his hygiene throughout the day before the two retire to the same bed.
